Bernoulli’s Air Show (Air2) – (KS1-2)

Air does not like to be different it like’s to be the same! We find out a little about Bernoulli’s principle as we experiment with air to see how it whooshes and swooshes around, and how it is always trying to be the same as the air around it. With HUGE smoke circles, a balloon called Bob and a piece of science equipment from our cooker that goes pop!

Science Friction Show – (KS1-2)

We will go on a journey of Science investigation as we learn about friction. From rubbing hands together, to *Dalek Plungers we learn how friction is helpful for us to grip and grab. Then we show you the best way to clear a table as we get someone up to help clear the breakfast table, but that’s after we make them wear antennae and go on a spin! We finish by showing how we can remove friction from our big wooden board by adding blasts of air that will allow us to drag a teacher or pupil around the floor with our home made hover board. Science at its best, enjoyable for All age groups. (*We have no affiliation with the Dr. Who franchise, this is just a very bad impersonation of a Dalek)

Nice cold Ice Cold Science – (KS1-2)

Evaporate, Melt and Sublimate… this is sublime science. From screaming plates to bubbling potions and even some spooky effects using ‘DRY ICE’. Chillingly good fun as we learn about solids, liquids and gasses.

What On Earth Is That? Show! – (KS1-2)

Let’s find out ‘What On Earth Is That?’ with this fun filled Science show that looks at very simple looking materials. The grand finale, the highly flammable gas explosion!

Science Bubble Show- (KS1-2)

The amazing Science Bubble Show will dazzle children as they find out about some of the Science that create bubbles. What are they made of, how you can make HUGE bubbles and how you can even make thousands of little ones. With a foaming chemical reaction to finish this show has it all.

All we ask in return for the Free Show is an opportunity to offer our 4 to 12 week After School Programme. If you have an interest from parents and children we then run the programme at your school, if however there is little or no interest then there is still no charge, we stay friends and return 1 year later for another free show and try again.

Fizz Pop Science Shows and programmes are always delivered by our highly trained professional instructors, all with Enhanced CRB checks. We also carry adequate professional indemnity and public liability up to £5mil. We can also supply risk assessments for all our programmes if required.
Our after school programmes are highly rewarding for those that join the Science programmes. We also bring new programmes each year so there should be very little overlap in what the children have seen if they sign up each year.

So give us a call or drop us an email with the best time to call you and one of our
friendly team will get straight back to you.

Why Is Science Important

 Why is Science Important

Science has led us to finding out things that give us what we have today. In fact without science we would not have electricity which would mean no mobiles, internet, Facebook we would not have fridges to keep food fresh, television to entertain or even cars to travel in.

A world without science would mean that we would still be living in a very different way to that of what we live today. Science started back when (we imagine) 2 cavemen wondered what rubbing 2 sticks together would do. Science is based on curiosity and how to’s. In fact we are natural Scientists watch children and you will see that young children play like Scientists work, with investigation.

Today science influences so many different things that trying to list them all would mean this page could go on forever. Science has influenced the medical industry that today reduces thousands of deaths every day. But is science only about new inventions, new technology and new medicines?

We want people to understand that it is not just about new technology, inventions or new medicines. Science is about a whole lot more than that and to sum it up we believe that science is a way of helping the brain grow in finding new knowledge and helps us defeat our curiosity of how the world develops and works today.

Science is important because it has helped form the world that we live in today.
